PREFACE: With spring break bringing me back to so cal I thought of it as only right to bust a move to LA for some tacos and great weed. I was in a RAB state of mind and headed over to traditional to get my fix, I still remember that wonka as some of the favorite smoke ever ( peep review 4) and I was exited to what new flavors were out, when I saw the mint chocolate chip I had to grab it.
VISUALS: 9/10
This was some pretty looking bud with lots of undertones to stare at. Starting with an almost dust like thick and hairy cover level of trichomes on the outside, each nug has small yet dense clumps of light orange pistils and is colored with splashes of purple, light green and dark green spectrum hues. The structure and shape of the bud was dope , I couldn’t tell if the buds were foxtailed or just had a super unique nug shape, to me the star of the jar looked almost like a Dino footprint. The moisture level and density of the bar were quite good resulting in a sticky ass bud that was hard to breakdown fully without a grinder.
SMELL: 9/10
When I cracked open the jar it actually smelled like an earthy cool menthol like mint smell which tripped me out. It smelled like bruised mint that transitioned to more cakey barley like smell when a nug was cracked open.
TASTE & EFFECTS : 8.5/10
I had high expectations after the last RAB review and this flower did not disappoint by any means. The taste and smell had me reminding on my first puff of a menthol Cig except for the fact that this was smooth and smokin lol the J has white and peppered ash and burned super slow even in the wind ( never again with the cigs ! )This one put me in a daze hitting me as a strain that left the brain foggy and lopsided while my body felt extremely relaxed and loose like I’d just stretched. Definitely gonna grab the Irene OG next !
