Strain Review: Rainbow Sherbert #40 (RS 40) by Resin Ranchers
So I mentioned in my last review that I got a chance to chat on the phone with Spencer from @resin_ranchers.pdx the other day. You can imagine my excitement when I shoot them a DM to ask about the weed I just bought and the response amounts to “That’s a lot to type, just give me a call”. I have some experience interviewing for radio, and this felt super reminiscent of my time at KBOO. It’s great to talk with people who are passionate about what they do.
Even though I was intending to ask about the Triangle Kush, Rainbow Sherbet was the strain we wound up talking about more. It’s a @deofarms joint that I think RR did a pretty solid job with. Deo is a breeder down in Oakland that seems to be a favorite amongst a few growers in Oregon and Cali. They also are responsible for the Manzana and I believe one or two others Resin Ranchers regularly puts out.

Rainbow Sherbert #40 Strain Review
I got the Rainbow Sherb #40, which I guess is the sorta gassier, more savory pheno. Even with the name it has, this stuff was kinda meaty. It almost smelled like cooked fish at times, which is real weird. I liked it, but admittedly it’s not my favorite that I have right now. As you can see, the flowers themselves are gorgeous and pristine, but there’s sort of a throat burn that some RR bud can give you that was definitely present here. Often that’s a curing issue, but I won’t pretend to be an expert here. The high was on the stonier side, but wasn’t a knockout or anything. It wasn’t super effective for my insomnia, but it had a pleasant body relaxation and general mind numbing quality I really enjoyed. It’s not one that’ll end your night prematurely, but it’s great for just zoning out on the couch or something. These guys used to be the very pinnacle of quality you could get in Portland, but as the market has caught up they’re starting to find a new spot for themselves. I always recommend you check @thc.pdx for their products. I hear they have a fat run of their fan-favorite GMO plus some of their more classic offerings coming up in the near future. I’ll be sure to get in on that however I can. #thehighestcritic #strainreview #strainreviews #weedreviews #420review #portlandcannabis #OMMP #portlandweedreviews #MMJ #oregoncannabiscommunity #portlandcannabiscommunity #oregonweedreviews #Medicate #oregoncannabis #PNWStoners #PDXcannabiscommunity #pdxcannabis #pdxstoners #cannabiscommunity #cannabisreviewsCheck out more reviews by @pdxstoneman on Instagram!
