Strain Review: Rogue OG by Grown Rogue

I was gonna double this up with my Snoop’s Dream review, but they both deserved their own. I like to grab whatever mid-shelf bud the folks at @tetra.pdx recommend to me. Price doesn’t indicate quality for me, and I find some real gems this way. This Rogue OG from @grownrogue is a definite gem in my book. Rogue OG Strain Review

It’s their OG Kush pheno, so you know what to look for in the smell and taste department. In this instance, I found the citrus and earth notes to be more forward than gas on the nose. The gas came through harder in the smoke, but was still overpowered by spice, earth, and some sourness. Nice, pleasant OG smell. It’s not a brain melting, overpowering OG varietal. It gave me kind of an overall mind and body relaxation, with some more sedating qualities coming through with higher levels of consumption. Honestly, it’s just a good choose-your-own-adventure of an afternoon hybrid. This stuff was on a cheaper shelf, and is a really good example of why price will never actually equal quality. Some stuff is over or underpriced, but this stuff is exactly where it should be in my book. Really happy with this buy, and it’s worth grabbing for anyone looking for a low-commitment hybrid to ease you into the evening without also easing you into bankruptcy. Also, fellow Portlanders, if you know anything at all about what happened at @portland_extracts_ please tell them.
