The bag appeal on Don Mega is absurd. The monstrous buds are more silver than anything else from extensive trichome coverage that envelops the surface. An array of minty green, blackish, and toasted orange coloration emerges from under a total avalanche of glimmering crystals. The composition of foliage, pistils, and trichomes produces a beguiling, opalescent visual 😍
The nose on Don Mega is sensational. It has a gnarly, filthy funk fragrance with pungent layers of garlic, onion powder, and swampy burger grease. Breaking the flower down releases a powerful burnt rubber and gas aroma that’s skunky and savory with an underlying zesty sweetness that provides a captivating contrast. It’s a complex, uninhibited raunch that mesmerizes the senses from the first whiff 🧄
The taste on Don Mega is just as tantalizing as the fragrance, consisting of a sharp, penetrating gas flavor with layers of spiced must. It has notes of garlic, onion, and paprika, along with this deep, borderline doughy and sweet quality that subtly teases the tip of the tongue on exhale. A lip smacking savoriness shows up on the end of each hit that left me coming back again and again. The flavor expands as the joint burns down, growing more piquant and seasoned 🧅
The effect on Don Mega is exceptional. It starts out with a spacey, alleviating head high that slowly melts through the neck, back, and body, providing a warm feeling of soothing relaxation for the muscles. It’s a powerful, sedating effect that has significant couch lock and nap potential in higher doses. The flower is so sticky it leaves darkened kief stains on the fingers after handling. It produces a significant amount of kief granules when ground. The smoke quality is remarkably smooth, and the flower burns perfectly 😶🌫️
All in all, the Don Mega is an exceptional cultivar. It comfortably crushes each criterion on the list. I’m not always the biggest fan of GMO strains, but Don Mega, with its undoubtedly suitable name sake, stands a cut above most other GMO crosses out there.
