Mendo Ultraviolet has exquisite bag appeal. It has a color scheme that’s a picturesque mix of silvers, purples, and orange from a blend of profuse trichomes, pruned leafage, and all encompassing pistils. It has some mild green leafage that appears sporadically, but these nugs are excessively exotic, overall. The buds themselves are gigantic and rounded, with a high degree of density. Breaking open buds reveals violet hues and intact trichomes 🤩
The nose on MU is downright provocative and funky. It’s a breathy, nutty, and savory aroma with a robust earthy, skunky, and dusted herbal undertone. Breaking the buds down enhances the nutty and savory quality of the flower, releasing a smell that’s reminiscent of peanut butter and beef jerky. Collectively, the flower has an enthralling blend of savory, spicy, earthy, and mildly gassy tones that create an absolutely ambrosial presentation 🥜
The flavor on MU is just as intriguing and appealing as the smell is. The taste is best described as a nutty, savory, and earthy must with a musky, lightly seasoned kush twist. Notes of sweet wood also show up on the exhale. People compare the profile of Mendo strains to vanilla and caramel, but the sweetness in the profile is so much more nuanced than that. Id articulate the presentation as a deep, earthy chocolate flavor mixed with creamy peanut butter and rotting meat, then tossed in a spice drawer.
