Grape Pie 90u Hash Rosin Review

grape pie 90u hash rosin by decibel farms dab review by pnw_chronic 2The Grape Pie has stellar visual appeal. It’s a spectacular, amber-colored fresh press 90u hash rosin with a multitude of air bubbles inside giving it an effervescent appearance. I let the concentrate mature by leaving it out in room temperature for a couple days, after which it cured up into a rigid, but pliable, beige batter 🤩

The smell on the fresh press is prominent from the first whiff. Sometimes fresh press can be completely muted, but the Grape Pie reeks of fragrant candied grape terps from the first crack of the jar. It has a sweet confectionary quality that pairs perfectly with the grape and reminds me of purple Smarties. Curing it just enhances the terpenes already there, intensifying them and making them radiate from the rosin. The smell of the fully matured rosin reminds me of Grape Hi-Chew or Now and Laters 🍇

The flavor on the Grape Pie is just as powerful as the nose, if not more so. The primary flavor profile is sweet, candied grape, like the scent, but it also has an ephemeral spiced quality to the inhale. It still has all those sugary-sweet candy terps that carry the profile, but the faint, nuanced layers of spice, dough, and fruit provide contrast. Altogether, it is a highly delicious and beguiling profile 🍬

The high on the Grape Pie is remarkable. After just one dab, I felt a relaxing pressure settle in my forehead and a wave of calmness wash through my entire body. The effect created moderate body heaviness with some calculated cognitive fuzziness. The strain burned average in terms of cleanliness for a 90u hash rosin. It was smooth to dab with only very minor throat irritation. Altogether it was a satisfying dabbing experience 😶‍🌫️

All in all, I’ve been blown away by Decibels “budget priced” rosins. Like with the Tropical Runtz I reviewed a couple months ago, I could stack this concentrate up against a fresh press that’s almost double the price from another company and it would stand its ground in terms of scent, flavor, and effect. If you haven’t checked out Decibels current line up, I would highly recommend it 🔥
