Having never had any flower from Cali powerhouse; Life Is Not Grape, I was thrilled to be able to get my hands on their Bolo, being a unique cross of LCG and Kush Mintz. Upon opening I was instantly greeted by a familiar Gelato candy with a special touch. Displaying primarily sweet notes consisting cherries and red grapes, complemented by a creamy Gelato and Cookies gas, with distant traits of mint. The buds were of a medium to hard density, and having a hybrid structure. They were a shade of medium green with dark purple hues and messy rustic pistils, being absolutely caked in an almost white layer trichomes. Upon inhaling, my palate was instantly overcome by a sweet earthy infused gas with undertones of candy. Displaying sweet notes of cherries and red grapes, alongside creamy, citrus and mint undertones. Through combustion sweet earthy notes started to develop, exhibiting its Cookie and Kush lineage. The taste of this candy infused earthiness is retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of medium to light silver, alongside an instantaneous oozing resinous oil ring, smoking relatively smooth and tasting clean. To conclude, with this being my first Life Is Not Grape flower, I was left feeling pretty impressed. Although nothing extremely special, it still delivered a pleasant candy gas with a distinctive sweet Kush backend unique to other LCG’s and Runtz. With a little further dialling in, Bolo will be a great staple to LING’s lineup.
