Doggy Bagg Strain Review

doggy bagg by commcan inc strain review by toptierterpsmaHey what’s up everyone? It is Sunday and I have another review to go over for all of you. Today I will be discussing the last installment in the Cookies series I’ve done courtesy of Commcan Inc. and this time we will be covering the Doggy Bag. The Doggy Bag features one of the many collaborations that Cookies has done since its existence. This particular one is with Snoop Dogg that features a cross between Zkittles and Grandiflora’s Project 4516. I knew this strain from the jump was going to have a candy twist and I was excited since I am a fan of fruity and candy terps. I also have never tried this offering from Commcan prior to reviewing it (as opposed to Gary Payton and The Soap). Despite some let downs on those two I still had confidence this would be a home run. Let’s waste no more time and get into the facts. Without question the bag got my attention. Whether you hate or love Cookies, they manage to put some of the coolest bag designs together whether it is their own creation or a seminal piece of art. In this case, the Mylar bag displays the cover art to Snoop Dogg’s 1993 debut album, “Doggystle.” Personally, I thought it was a good choice for a collaboration that featured one of the most prolific weed smokers ever. Naturally, the quality of the design put those expectations high for what was inside the Mylar bag. When I sparked up the Doggy Bag in an Organic RAW, there was no surprise by the overload of z terps from the initial inhale. I also felt a bit of piney floral to go along but the candy terps on this were dominant as ever. On the way out, this strain retained almost all of the thick candy terps drawn in during the inhale, however, I encountered more of a floral spice on the exhale. In my opinion, this was a great buffer to those candied terps as it added a bit of twang to the overall flavor profile. Additionally, I noticed was a slight mustiness within the exhale. There wasn’t too much of a shift in flavor throughout the total duration of the sesh. The only change I noticed was that the floral terps during both the inhale and exhale although I strongly felt that this flavor blended in well with the z terps on this. Needless to say the Doggy Bagg was packed with flavor and probably more so than any other Cookies flavor I have tried in Mass so far. The pulls were all-around smooth and this did not lead to too much pressure nor coughing. The Doggy bag resulted in a nice white ash which was supported by a heavy res ring to go around a solid cherry. The overall burn was good and easily the best out of the three offerings I got from Commcan this time. There wasn’t much flavor loss towards the end and I definitely started to feel the effects of this one before putting it out. All in all, I thought this was an impressive smoke and certainly exceeded expectations. When I opened the seal on the Doggy Bag, a fresh, Runtz-like odor graced my nose as well as filled the room. By far this had the best nose out of three strains that I got out of the Cookies collection this time around. I also experienced scents of pine and floral in there as well. Given the Genetics, there was no surprise that this had an appeal that showcased dominant Zkittles features. The nugs themselves were mid-to-larger sized consisting of a bright green and violet purple mixture in color with a fluffy texture to it. The aesthetic of the buds, unfortunately, was nothing to write home about due to some nugs being leafy and scattered. Personally, I think the trim job (or lack there of) was the main reason for this. However, the nugs were super fluffy and somewhat dense so I was pleased to have not had these crumble down in my fingers like the Gary and The Soap. This led to a pretty decent breakup and ended up filling out the joint nicely. I detected those same distinct candy notes through the dry pull as I did when I poked my nose through the bag. I was ready to fire the Doggy Bag up and see what it’s effects would provide me with.
