Not having had the pleasure of trying Hylia Lemons before, I was excited in putting it to the test. Upon opening I instantly received a nose tingling rush of sour lemon and pine with strong traits of citrus, fuel and light chemicals. Smelling reminiscent of the household detergent Jiff and Pinesol. The buds were of a medium to hard density, and had a foxtail structure. They were a shade of light green, with messy deep rustic pistils, and home to a universe of trichomes. Upon inhaling my palate was overcome by notes translating from the smell, delivering a sour infusion of zesty citrusy lemons alongside an earthy gas with traits of pine, rubber and chemicals. These notes described were retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of medium grey, alongside a resinous oil ring. It smoked both partially smooth and clean, with a slight hindrance affecting the combustion. To conclude, although Hylia Lemon’s delivered a refreshingly sour lemon gas, for the high price tag the smoke and ash quality was pretty subpar, with slightly poorer combustion observed than expected, leaving the end result being fairly mediocre. With further dialling in required, hopefully Hylia Lemons can be transformed into something worthy of its high price.
