Strain Review: Knightsbridge OG by King Midas Genetix

Good afternoon and a very happy Friday-Highday to all you beautiful people out there! Today we have have a rather special strain that was grown by @kingmidasgenetix and sent over by the man @hoodpackz_official – ‘Knightsbridge OG’. This rare Indica-dominant hybrid flower boasts some pretty unique and particularly dank OG terps that I’m sure many of you would enjoy as much as I did! 👌🏻
Straight out of the bag I found that I was getting a strong note of herbaceous gas on the nose, as well as an accompanying blend of slight citrus, Earthy notes with a musky undertone to it. I noticed this same collection of notes carried on clearly to the dry pull – I was mostly tasting the gassy herbaceous notes at first. After a few more dry pulls I began to notice a mild ‘Sherb funk’ on the edge of the overall flavour profile backed up by those same citrus notes.
After sparking up my joint I was mostly tasting those same strong, gassy notes initially, feeling them coat my palate almost completely! As the joint burned on I started getting hints of what I can only describe as a sort of ‘rotten fruit dankness’ lingering on beneath the prominent gas notes. After a while I found those previously mentioned citrus notes beginning to enter back into the overall flavour, this time intertwined nicely with some strong, OG pine notes on the back end.
Personally I thought this was a great flavour profile that this strain offered – a true throwback to those strong, gassy OG terps that we’re all familiar with but with a slight twist to it. I’d say that I was mostly picking up on hints of Biscotti and Sherbet along the way of smoking this strain, acting together as a great blend to accent those already dominant gassy terps. As for the effects, I found these to be as equally enjoyable as the flavour of this flower – but it’s worth mentioning they definitely creep up on you! 🥴
At first, about a third of the way into my joint, I felt a hazy head rush come over me; giving me a bit of a buzz but also leaving me a little dazed. However, as I finished my joint I began to notice the buzz starting to ware off slightly as I started to feel more sedated. This eventually left me feeling in a pure state of couch-lock bliss – the television quickly became the appropriate choice of activity as I slipped back into a sequence of fuzzy daydreams. This is truly a strain of choice if you’re having difficulty getting to sleep as it got me there in pretty much no time at all after a small evening session!
All in all, I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this strain – I’ve always been fond of the heavy OG gassy, piney terps and this one delivered them with great character and strength to match. This made for a quality evening smoke if you’re looking to simply kick back and relax with some tunes or something to watch – as you might find yourself a tad incapacitated to engage in a video game or even a meaningful conversation! Hats off to @kingmidasgenetix on this one; I can’t wait to get my hands on some more! 🔥
