Strain Review: Kushberry Cheesecake by Los Angeles Kush
⚠️STRAIN REVIEW⚠️: Today I will be going over the Kushberry Cheesecake from the prolific Los Angeles Kush (@lakush.ca).
Lineage/Genetics: Blueberry Kush x OG Kush

Grower: Los Angeles Kush
With genetics from Blueberry Kush and OG Kush, the strain lives up fully to its name. The smell of blueberry cheesecake immediately wafts into your nostrils upon cracking the seal open. I was lucky enough to get a SUPER fresh batch of Kushberry (packaged on 12/26–a little over two weeks before purchase), so I was greeted by gorgeous, frosty light green nugs circled with tuffs of orange hairs. The nugs were dense upon squeezing them but had the right amount of give and residual trichomes on my fingertips to tell me it was fresh and well cured.

Grinding it up truly unlocks the full aroma of the Kushberry Cheesecake, with the blueberry and cheese notes becoming much more prominent and also exposing slight undertones of pine from its OG Kush lineage.

Smoking it was a fantastic experience. I immediately felt a head change before I even fully exhaled. A wave of uplifting warmth Rose from my chest and into my sinus, finally reaching its zenith in my head and providing me with a much needed clarity after a long day of work. Aside from the potency and euphoria inducing effects of the Kushberry, I was also extremely satisfied with the taste, staying true to the smell and remaining consistent to the very last hit.

All in all, the Kushberry Cheesecake is hands down one of my favorite strains at the moment and of all time. I first tried a variant, the Bertberry Cheesecake also from LA Kush, but in cartridge format a few years back. I have longed for that terpene profile and potency ever since and I was glad I finally got my hands on some again. For all my sativa fans out there, you will definitely enjoy this one and cannot consider yourself a cannasseur without having tried this strain. Even for hybrid and indica lovers, the high THC and cannabinoid content of the Kushberry Cheesecake combined with the phenomenal terpene and flavonoid profile will be more than enough to satisfy.
I rate it a 5/5 as the Kushberry Cheesecake checks all my boxes (potency, looks, flavor, smell, & the high it produces). It’s definitely a strain I will come back to.
