Cultivar Review: Gelato Cakes by verano

So after hearing many say that @veranocannabis new strains were smacking I was a bit hesitant to bite since most offerings lately have been lackluster. So after awaiting word on what would be the best for this match up between the new @veranobrands heavyweights. We have in the right corner Gelato Cakes a cross of Gelato #33(Sunset Sherbert*Thin Mint Cookies)and Wedding Cake(pheno of Triangle Kush*Animal Mints) which is odd considering this is the same genetics as the ultra popular Ice Cream Cake. Lineage/Genetics: Gelato 33 x Wedding Cake Original Breeder: Unknown Grower: verano Terpene Profile: Unknown

Gelato Cakes Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review

Bag Appeal GC- 8 dry mini arrowhead shaped buds. Thick amount of beaten down egg wash colored trichs and rusty pistils that blend in seamlessly. Deep forest greens and dark violets very similar to ICC. 19/25 Aroma GC- Musky burnt rubber out the jar the breaks down to some sweet sherb, uncooked sugar cookie dough, and candied fruit. 19/25 Taste GC- Hashy burnt rubber, very slight musky incense, tart pineapple, and chalky candy. Dry pull of classic sherb with light grey ash and medium light resin ring. 19/25 High GC- Very even keeled mind and body buzz with nowhere near the effects of Gelato or Wedding Cake. I’d go with Aeriz/Cresco ICC for a better showing of those parents. 18/25 Gelato Cakes- 75 points #weedadvocate
