Cultivar Review: NFSheesh by Mad Scientist Labs
The quest for the best continues and with the help from the homie @chicagosticky I was able to secure a jar of that oh so lovely @mad_scientist_labs cut of @solfiregardens2019 NFSheesh. The boys at Mad Scientists called their cut Jurassic Pooch and it’s a cross of @thenorthfire Cookies(Pheno of GSC) and Bahama Mama(Black Banana*Tropicana Cookies). This is a strain I’ve been interested in trying since I happen to have a pack sitting in my vault along with some Bahama Mama S1. Mad Scientist Labs are leading a pack of new school veganic growers using absolutely no animal by products in any of their medias or feeds.

So I scooped up a half that contained a good mix of colas and smalls of some very frosty nugs that exhibit shades of silver from far away. Once closer a periwinkle green is found under all that silver ice with tiny specks of a dark midnight violet at the tip of the leaves. Dark wispy brick red hairs interweaving the buds like blood filled veins. The only thing I can be critical on is the excessive amount of sugar leaf despite it being so frosty and even the colas seemed a bit larfy. 24/25
Opening the jar and very light wafts of cookie dough, pine, and a slight nuttiness. Broken down and the pine turns more astringent with a gas backend but the prominent nose similar to the almond cookies you find at Chinese restaurants. 21/25
The smoke starts out smooth hitting with notes of creamy sugar cookie, earl grey tea, and sweet honey. Its like an English breakfast all in one hit but while starting smooth it does finish with some explosive expansion at the end. Dry pull on the J tastes like sweet creamy cookies and zesty lemon tea that burns down to dark grey ash with small resin ring. 21/25
The high on this might be its best attribute as its start quickly and uplifting before it cradles your body with a long lasting relaxing body buzz that makes this one effective for midday to nighttime use with a high lasting 1.5 to 2 hours. I’d definitely like to try some more Mad Scientist maybe something with a bit more flavor forward so can really examine the terps. 24/25
