#33 (Scottie Pippen) Strain Review

Stats: 26.050% THC 29.528% Total Cannabinoids Aroma: Sour Skunk, Queso Blanco, Citrus Rind. Structure: Medium-sized nugs, decent cure, soft on the inside, but exterior feels slightly dry. Palate: Dark Chocolate Custard, Stone Fruit, Lemon Floor Cleaner, Coffee Ice Cream, Musky Sour Gas. Effect: Strong. Nice body sedation, hazy head high without putting me to sleep. Overall: With fantastic branding, FOMO marketing, and exotic herb, BackpackBoyz has quickly become the @supremenewyork of cannabis. Strains that make their legal dispensary debut tend to sell out within hours, and this was no exception. Let’s take a look at #33, their most hyped up release to date. I tear open the pack to reveal a slurry of LOUD familiar notes: Sour Musk, Cheese, Citrus Peel, Gas, it is all there, somehow harmonizing. My pupils dilate and an eyebrow raises as i reach in. Structure is adequately compact, bud tears off with a small crunch. Mix of small light green nugs with a couple darker, and more brilliant, medium nugs. The milky smooth inhale has hints of creamy cacao bean and plumb pudding. The exhale brings classic astringent limonene terp, found in other strains like LPC and Lemon Tree. A phenomena occurs as roasted coffee from the Biscotti and Lemon swirl to replicate rare, Rwanda-sourced coffee beans. This symphony concludes with a lingering, funky, sour butane gas from Gelato. Apart from glass, I did share a 2g jay of #33 with a couple buddies, and I was blown away from the fact that the bold citrus and rich coffee-candy notes were still coming through strong. Unfortunately, just for me, lighter shades like dark chocolate and the gas tend to be overshadowed by the wrap. Without taking into account the exclusivity and astronomical price of this herb, and by strictly judging the herb as it is, this one still earns high marks in my journal.
