Barry Bonds Strain Review

After seeing an array of options for different Gelato variety at the Fritz dispensary, I decided to try their #25 which is cleverly renamed/aka Barry Bonds. The bag immediately has a very sweet candy like scent, but very quickly becomes a rancid stink which permeates through the air like manure. I also smelled a bit of piney fuel, and a great floral attribute to it as well. I for sure had my nose buried in this stuff throughout the rolling process.

The Barry Bonds was a quality Gelato. It lit up nice and sweet initially, and continued to burn down to more flavor. The sweet candy from the scent was the primary component in taste while I smoked. Of course being Gelato there were smooth touches of gasoline and creamy/woody finishes which I really enjoyed.

If you take a quick glance, it does not take much to realize these buds are some lookers. Nice tight trimming, pretty bud structure, excellent cure. Breaking down healthily, not too dry or sticky. The effects of the #25 were nice and balanced. I felt a bit of mild sedation, but an uplifted mellowness that relieved me of anxiety and had me nice and calm. I appreciate the quality on these Fritz bags as they are for 1, cheaper than everything else on the menu, but 2, always completely worth it. The quality control of whoever grows their stuff is better than some of the brands they stock, so it is truly a blessing being able to grab it when it is available.
