Strain Review: Chocolate Barfi by World Is Yours Exotics x The Baydestrians

Never having had Chocolate Barfi, nor this particular cross of strains from anywhere before, I was interested in seeing how it fared. With it being a continued collaboration between two Bay powerhouses; World Is Yours Exotics and Baydestrians. With the branding referencing a popular Indian treat. Upon opening I was greeted by a complex sweet candy and minty infusion, exhibiting its lineage well. Dominant notes of sweet strawberry bubblegum and cherries flourished leaving remnants of marzipan, complemented by a subdued musky, earthy and citrus gas with notable spicy and minty traits.
The buds were of a medium to hard density, having a hybrid structure. They were a shade of very light green with sporadic hues of purple, and attractive pink and purple guts. Thick rustic pistils protruded through an almost white layer of gleaming trichomes.
Upon inhaling my palate was instantly overcome by an equal blend of mildly sweet strawberry and cherry bubblegum overtones alongside an earthy, spicy and faintly minty gas, with subdued sour notes of citrus. The taste of this earthy bubblegum was retained on my tastebuds with the sweetness dissipating ever so slightly leaving remnants of biscuits upon exhaling.
The joint produced ash being a shade of medium to light grey, alongside a dripping resinous oil ring. It smoked relatively smooth and tasted clean.
To conclude, I found Chocolate Barfi to deliver a mildly earthy and spicy bubblegum infusion with subdued lemon traits. Although it was not anything too memorable, hopefully with a little further dialling in CB can remain a great bubblegum orientated staple of the existing collaboration between WIYE and Baydestrians.
