Strain Review: Frozen Grapes by Jungle Boys

Although I am not overly enthusiastic on Cookies N Cream’s taste profile, I was interested in seeing how it fared being crossed with a fairly sweet counterpart; Grape Pie. Boasting a modest 36.61% total sum of cannabinoids. Upon opening I received both a sweet and sour aroma of grapes, infused with light undertones of menthol and cherries.
This sourly sweet essence was accompanied by gentle undertones of earthy, orange, minty and creamy Cookies, exhibiting traits of its distant Starfigher lineage. The buds were of a medium to hard density, having both a foxtail and Jungleboys structure. They were a shade of light green with sporadic hues of blue and light purple, alongside rustic pistils, and absolutely showered in glistening trichomes.
Upon inhaling my palate was instantly overcome by notes translating from the smell, delivering sweet notes of cherries and subdued menthol infused with sourly fermented grapes, alongside an earthy cookies with strong Starfighter traits of orange, cream and mint. The taste of this even balance of both strains was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of light grey, alongside an instantaneous oozing resinous oil ring.
It smoked both smooth and tasted clean. To conclude, although the distant Starfighter’s powerful lineage is not overly to my personal taste preference, the Grape Pie infusion complemented it effectively, resulting in a more enjoyable taste than anticipated. I ultimately found Frozen Grapes to smoke fairly well, ticking a fair amount of boxes. With some further dialling in, it will make a great choice for enthusiasts of strains with a Starfighter lineage (such as MAC).
