Strain Review: Dirty Bananas by Urban Canna
I know I’m mad late to the @theurbancanna Dirty Bananas party, but I finally got some, so we’re gonna talk about it.
Lineage/Genetics: Banana OG x Kush Mintz
Original Breeder: In House Genetics
Grower: Urban Canna
Dispensary: Oregrown
I get why people were talking so much about this in my feed. It’s got a lot of fruitiness on the nose to start out. Mad smoothie terps with the banana and berry notes and kind of an underlying creaminess, but also this subtle GMO funk underneath that sets it apart from the frankly obnoxious amount of fruity weed out there right now. I wish more farms would focus on setting themselves apart from the pack like this. You’re in Oregon. The fact you grow weed isn’t unique, get those unique terps into your bouquet.
This is weed meant for your blunt before a concert if I’ve ever tried it. The high is powerful, but not sedating. It’s one of those ones that’ll catch you off guard with just how high you are, but still leave you with enough energy to make it through whatever you’re doing. It’s been a morning smoke at times, but it’s also just been a Swiss Army knife for when I want to be high as fuck but not crash all the time in Grand Theft Auto.
This isn’t gonna be your insomnia cure, but it was remarkably good for my back pain and nausea. I had a weird vomiting episode the other night, and this helped pull me together before stonier weed (Pre-98 Bubba Kush from @highlandprovisions and Mendo UV from @high_noon_cult) eased me to sleep. It’s been a remarkably good addition to my medicine cabinet.
@oregrownindustries hooked me up with this stuff. They carry all kinds of amazing products, and their budtenders are fantastic. Tip heavy whenever you’re in. My buddies at @thc.pdx carry it frequently as well. Look for it anywhere that carries @theurbancanna stuff, but I really recommend those two just because I really like them.
