Strain Review: Jungle Juice by GasHouse

Lineage/Genetics: Animal Cookies x Tangie
Original Breeder: Golden State Genetics
Grower: Big Al’s Exotics x Gas House
Jungle Juice features dense, trichome heavy nugs which give off a “fruity” vibe due to its multicolor palette. Larger buds are perfectly marbled on the exterior, blending eggplant purple and emerald green hues, rust/copper colored pistils, and trichomes taking a creamy glean. On the breakup, the interior reveals stunning patches of rose pink and watermelon.
Jungle Juice possess one of the more pungent and unique aromas I can recall. Aptly named, the strain smells like fruit/tropical punch. “Purple Punch” esque, and reminiscent of the Stiiizy flavor. Very pungent in-jar, giving off a concentrated “soy sauce” smell. Smell didn’t quite translated to flavor however. Through a water pipe, I tasted a muted earthy, sangria kush. Quite smooth throughout, and I must note the burn was clean with white ash.
Jungle Juice’s effects were predominately cerebral centered, with a spacey head trance felt most noticeably behind the eyes. Makes the head feel heavy and relaxed, yet the mind stays fairy active with multiple streams of thought. An afternoon strain, imo. Pleasant overall, I found the effects a bit short lived for my tastes.
Strength: 7.5/10
In the interest of total honesty, Jungle Juice didn’t do it for me the way I had anticipated. Perhaps it’s a matter of expectations; for all the hype surrounding these “exotic” brands, I hope to be blown away every single time. By no means a bad strain or even a poor smoke, when smoked, Jungle Juice simply did not separate itself from other less flashy options in any remarkable fashion. Beautifully grown and cured, it just wasn’t my favorite.
Special shoutout to @trustinpdc for brining the heat to DC once again. If it’s on his menu, you can bet it’s the real deal.
