Strain Review: Terple by Focus North Gardens

I’ve been sitting on this Terple for a minute now. I said that I wanted more time to get to know it, but realistically my turnaround times on new flower reviews are just slow. I meant to get this review out yesterday, but I banged out the Kush Mints instead. Terple Strain Review

This is a Tropicana X Slurricane cross, but I gotta say that it leans so heavily toward the Trop that I don’t pull many qualities from the Slurricane. I kinda want to keep this around and get some of the regular Tropicana Cookies that @focusnorthgardens runs to compare the two. I could see this being a situation where the Trop qualities just dominate the overall profile, but juxtaposition with a pure version would allow for some differences to stand out. Orange Tang powder is the biggest note I can draw. That’s a large part of why the word I’ve probably used most so far in this review is “Trop” or a variation thereof. Artificial, Citric acid enhanced orange flavoring comes through so wonderfully hard. If I had one gripe, it’s that the nose is kinda one note. It’s a really good note, just kinda lonely. The high is nice and relaxing without any sleepiness. This is where the Slurricane comes through more. Trop can cause some get-up-and-go energy, but that’s conspicuously absent in this Terple. It’s got quite a bit more chill to it which makes it more appropriate for different times of day. This is a great one for Trop lovers overall. @focusnorthgardens grows really good product, and they run the Harry Palms, @bloomseedco Tropicana quite well. You’ll be happy with it. I kinda wanted something more unique, but it’s a solid offering.
