Lineage/Genetics: Wedding Cake x Animal Mints F1
Original Breeder: Seed Junky Genetics
Grower: Sweetwater Pharms
1. Scent: First inhale doesn’t give off a ton. A mix of fresh cut leaf matter, slightly sour (tiny) and then pepper once the nug is cracked.
2. Appearance: Purple green and red over take the back seat to the coated trichomes. Kinda rugged trim shape to the bud.
3. Nug Structure: Nice but can get over dry with the heat that is coming. (Wrote this pre-Grass Fire in Napa) I will likely drop an orange peel in there in a few days after the initial review to keep it fresh. (Used a tortilla from another reviewers suggestion)
4. Smoke: Heavy. Not super harsh on the throat but it’s a coughing type of rip to start we found. These bowls before bed were heavy hitting so I ended up not doing this during the day.
5. Taste: Mint and a zing of pine. Very subtle tones. No sour notes. Love it so far.
6. Reaction: Suddenly overly stoned. Ha. Pretty fast on the body and it was almost an unexpected reaction given how Animal mints usually takes a few mins to impact my vibe from other companies. Space cadet style I’m floating on good vibrations.
7. Conclusion: Not a strain I would smoke during the morning. Might be better for the night cap to remove the days stress and get your body relaxed. It is a stark contrast to their Bob Saget hybrid which is a standard at our house. They go together nicely in our “day vs evening” weed choices. Would recommend and would buy again.
